Netball

Teamwork. balancing skills. Physical skills. socialising. friends. a sense of belonging. have fun. improve you fitness. defence and attack. new skills. lifelong knowledge. perhaps knowledge that will save your life if your a spy in a girls fiction book.

These are reasons why you should play netball. They actually sound a bit dumb when you say it like that (expect from the last one).  I promise you though this blog post is not a book called 'the beginners guide to netball.' Or anything like that. And not an advanced guide either. In case your wondering. You probably aren't. But you might be. You never know. Actually I should say I never now. I'm getting of topic.

So I'm back on topic. Now it's time for the goo-goo emotional stuff. Close your eyes if it's two painful. Here it goes.
Netball can't been written down on paper. The joys of playing It can't be described with words. (Unless you use poetry. And I can't be bothered writing a  poem today). You need to play it. And not the twisted Narinville version. You need to join a team and play it with all your heart and soul. whatever gender.

Now it's time for the  shouty must read bit

Play Netball.

Put down what your doing and sigh up for a team

Now

Now.

Now.

Now.

Now.

lights, sound ('cause their's no camera - we're not making a movie :( ) action! almost

Since I am not a selfish soul, I am not going to steal the spotlight (which no doubt I could) at this year's school pro-duc-tion. (Kind of sing pro-duc-tion in a high voice).  No I am will be remove myself from the spotlight and be working backstage doing something a rather (I'm not sure what).

However I will be in tainted love. It would be cruel not to share me pure brilliance with those watching. I have not yet finished

Let it go

Let it go is differently my favourite song. I know it of by heart and have listened to it heaps. I also find it meanful.

Let it go is part of the movie sound track of frozen and is sang by India Menzel, though Demi Lovato has done her own version of it.
I found it meanful because to me it's a song about  the beginning of Elsa's transformation from a frightened girl to a stronger young woman who's begin to except her powers and learn how to use them. she becomes more independent and begins to leave behind to person she once was who spent her life hiding on her room. I think you should also watch the music video because for actions are as strong as her words.

here are the links to let it go music videos- both versions.

Draw like a Egyptian

So, I need to blog about a piece of art I've done in the last couple of weeks. And, blog readers, this is the out come.
A picture I did, with hieroglyphics and a bad picture of a woman against a tea stained background.
The picture I copied from had a pharaoh, but i didn't do it because it would be to hard. It was hard enough doing half of it.
But, if your read them, the first couple of hieroglyphics spell Elizabeth is very awesome. so true. (I'm Elizabeth)

Ancient Eygpt!

so we've been learning about Ancient Egypt recently. I've already  known a lot (ancient Egypt obsessed person=me) but I've lernt even more, mostly about the River Nile and Egyptian houses. It's been really fun, but my favorite activities were those that involved Minecraft (who doesn't love that game?)
Anyway Ancient Egyptian is totally AWESOME. (awesome said high pitched)

TRAMPOLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I'm overreacting. No I'm not. Anybody whos been on Nairville's Trampoline and doesn't LOVE it is underreacting. It's awesome. If I could, I would bounce on it all day. It's so big and bouncing and...
Now your probably got two questions to ask;
a) What is Nairville?
and
b) Why am I on their their Trampoline.
Here are the answers.
a) Nairville is a recreational center down the road from our school where we go once a week to have a sports session. We cover many different sporting areas.
b) We are presently doing a 6-week gymnastics unit. We do 3 different circuits in each lesson, and if I'm lucky the trampoline is in one of them.
It normally isn't. :(. It took about 4 weeks for gymnastics at Nairville to get interesting. This may be because i did gymnastics for two years. Still, it's better than running, or sprinting.

Facts about the Nile.

So I need to write about something learnt this week. I think the main thing I've learnt are factsabout the Nile I discovered when I was making notes for a double page spread about the Nile.
Did you know Ancient Egyptians called it Aur, after the black made it gave when it flooded? I also discovered a lot about Ancient Egyptian Beliefs around The Nile.
I discovered all this information on a web site about the Nile when I was researching it's role in Ancient Egypt.
